LEAP Mentoring Activities with Junior Friends

The LEAP kids from T.C. Williams High School have racked up over 250 hours of community service this year, participating in the Big Event, the Alexandria Walk for Breast Cancer, Sticker Shock – the Campaign to Stop Underage Alcohol Use, and the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Telethon. In December, they’ll be volunteering at the Scottish Christmas Walk, and the ALIVE Turkey Distribution.

They’ve also participated in College trips to GWU and Capitol College in Maryland, with more trips planned to VA Tech and JMU and possible trips to UVA, GMU, and others. And, they had their second annual Veteran’s Day Common Application Workshop and Movie Day!
